Product Care Guide

Taking good care of your products ensures they stay safe, hygienic, and long-lasting. This guide covers everything you need to know about cleaning, maintenance, and lubrication.

Cleaning

Clean your products before and after every use. The right cleaning method depends on the material:

  • Silicone, glass, and stainless steel — These non-porous materials can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap, or a dedicated toy cleaner. If the product has no electronic components, it can also be boiled for 3–5 minutes or placed on the top rack of a dishwasher (without detergent) for a deeper clean.
  • ABS plastic and hard plastic — Wipe down with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner. Do not submerge if the product has a charging port or battery compartment.
  • TPE and TPR — These porous materials require extra care. Clean thoroughly with warm water and toy cleaner after every use. You can use a condom with these materials for added hygiene.

Allow products to dry completely before storing.

What to Avoid When Cleaning

Some common household products can damage your toys or irritate sensitive skin. Avoid the following:

  • Bleach and harsh disinfectants — Can degrade materials and leave harmful residues.
  • Alcohol-based cleaners — Can dry out and crack silicone, TPE, and rubber over time.
  • Antibacterial soaps — Often contain additives that can irritate skin or damage toy surfaces.
  • Scented or oil-based soaps — Can leave residue and are harder to rinse off completely.

Stick to mild, unscented soap or a dedicated toy cleaner for best results.

Maintenance

  • Inspect your products regularly for cracks, discolouration, or changes in texture. Discontinue use if you notice any damage.
  • Charge rechargeable products regularly — even when not in use — to maintain battery health. Avoid leaving them fully discharged for extended periods.
  • Store products in a clean, dry place, ideally in the pouch or box they came in, or in a dedicated storage bag. Keep different materials separated to prevent reactions.
  • Keep products away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Storage Tips

  • Store silicone products separately from each other — silicone items stored in contact for extended periods can bond or transfer colour.
  • Always store products fully dry to prevent mould or bacterial growth.
  • Use individual pouches or bags to keep products dust-free and protected.
  • Avoid storing in airtight containers without ventilation, especially for rechargeable products.

Lubrication

Using the right lubricant enhances comfort and protects your products.

  • Water-based lubricants — Safe with all materials, including silicone. This is the recommended choice for most products. Water-based lubricants absorb into the skin over time, so reapply as needed during use.
  • Silicone-based lubricants — Long-lasting and great for water play, but should not be used with silicone products as they can degrade the material over time. Silicone-based lubricants do not absorb into the skin, so a little goes a long way.
  • Oil-based lubricants — Suitable for external use and massage, but not compatible with most toy materials or latex condoms. Avoid using oil-based lubricants with your products unless the product is specifically listed as oil-safe. Like silicone-based lubricants, oil-based options are long-lasting and do not absorb quickly, but they can be harder to wash off.

When in doubt, choose a water-based lubricant — it is the safest and most versatile option.

Material Safety

Body-safe products are made from non-porous, phthalate-free, and non-toxic materials. These materials do not harbour bacteria and are safe for intimate use. All products in our store are selected with body safety in mind. If you are ever unsure about a material, feel free to contact us.

When to Replace Your Product

Even with proper care, products do not last forever. Consider replacing a product if you notice any of the following:

  • Visible cracks, tears, or surface damage
  • Changes in texture — becoming sticky, rough, or unusually soft
  • Persistent or unusual odor that does not go away after cleaning
  • Discolouration that was not there originally
  • Reduced performance in rechargeable products that no longer hold a charge

When in doubt, it is always better to replace a product than to continue using one that may no longer be safe.
